Bisphenol A epoxy resin is formed by polycondensation of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin under the action of alkaline catalyst. Bisphenol A epoxy resin has good physical and chemical properties. It has excellent bonding strength to the surface of metal and non-metal materials, and excellent chemical resistance, especially alkali resistance, good heat resistance, insulation and flexibility.
Application
Coating
The application of epoxy resin in coatings accounts for a large proportion, and it can be made into varieties with various characteristics and application.
Adhesive
Epoxy resin has excellent bonding properties for various metal materials such as aluminum, steel, iron, copper; non-metallic materials such as glass, wood, concrete, etc., so it is called a universal glue. Epoxy adhesives are an important variety of structural adhesives.
Electronic and electrical materials
Due to its unique advantages such as high insulation performance, high structural strength and good sealing performance, epoxy resin has been widely used in the insulation and packaging of high and low voltage electrical appliances, motors and electronic components.
Engineering plastics and composite materials
Epoxy engineering plastics mainly include epoxy molding compounds and epoxy laminate plastics used for high-pressure molding, as well as epoxy foams.
Construction materials
Mainly used as anticorrosive floor, epoxy mortar and concrete products, high-grade pavements and airport runways, quick repair materials, grouting materials for strengthening foundations, construction adhesives and coatings, etc.
